I can't wait for you to meet Jameson. He's seriously my favorite character ever because he's a charming hero. I haven't written many of these, but I had so much fun writing him! My inspiration came from a bus driver my kids had for a few days (years ago). He was a young attractive man who dressed up in a costume every day, think- a ketchup bottle, Dr. Suess, etc. I knew when the right book came along for this hero, I'd know. This was it.
The firefighter who loves mentoring kids so much he substitutes in middles schools and drives buses on his days off. If you have a middle schooler you'll know what I'm talking about because they can't get subs. Everyone wants to be in elementary school. This age is tough but Jameson loves it. It might be because his siblings never accepted his quirky personality, and he wants to provide support for other teens. But you will love him - he's fun-loving, protective, and the best kind of guy. The only problemâhe doesn't think he's good enough for strait-laced Claire. So he focuses on her son, Owen, helping him be the best football player he can be.
And when he offers her his fire-department issued hoodie? All bets are off...
